Pre Production

Online

WhatsApp was a online app that was used in our production group throughout Pre Production. To talk about our ideas and plans for the future. For example what we would like to buy and purchase and what we can arrange for timings. This was a very effective use of online media and contacting each-other out of class or school times was very helpful. As well as messaging actors and our team members on timings and costume ideas that we would like to happen, this was an easy ans quick way to connect the team and easily replies.

Amazon is a app used to purchase iteams online and quickly and to identify what you need to quickly. We purchased most of our props from Amazon and split the price between us all. Including police jackets, frensic gloves, evidence bags and more. Came quickly and safely and the exact product that we wanted.

Chrome was used to research in pre production for our opening title sequence. Finding out information to make our sequence better was helpful and finding photographs for blog post and resarch, when doing frensic resarch to identify how and what goes into investigating a murder chrome was really helpful at my findings.

Youtube is online media that was used in pre-production to look at ideas and research. For example looking at opening title sequences from other major films that have the same genre and aspect of our own. I did a blog post here researching opening title sequence through watching and annotating.

Blogger was used to blog the series of pre production, production and post production. But mainly working on pre- production. For example resarching title sequences and forensic’s activities. Blogger is an online software that is easy to gather information and resrach alongside look back at any time. Blogging every detail of planning for the opening title sequence which has helped keep a time-line of what has been going on throughout this work and all the work we have been putting into this.

In Pre Production, we made a test shoot to test how we would like our opening title sequence to look. We spent a day printing our paper props and finding things we could use to shadow the real thing. As we didn’t want to spend loads of money on the test shoot as it was unnescery.

During our test shoot we used an i phone 12 pro max to film our test shoot. The quality was still high. We placed all the camera shots we wanted in our final opening title sequence and more for extra in case we wanted to add them in.

Once the footage was taken we started editing our test shoot on an i pad pro using I movie. I movie was a successful softwere to use to get the correct format and editing skills that we wanted.

Futhermore through i movie we used sound effects and a background track to add emphasis onto the sequence this added a sense of professionalism along side more suspense.

Once edited we then uploaded this to YouTube using online media.

However online, is the most media that we used in pre production due to the resarching skills and texting and preparing for the final shoot.

Here is our test shoot:
